常用in order to引出的不定式短语或用with / for the purpose of引导的介词短语。如:
In order to/To offer help to the migrant kids/For the purpose of offering help to the migrant kids, we think our government should take measures to pour more money into improving the present situation of migrant schools.( 揭阳市一模) 为了帮助民工子弟,我们认为政府应该采取措施,将资金投入到改善民工学校现状中。
倡议其实就是提建议,因此,可用be supposed to (应该), it is suggested that... (建议), it would be better if... 倡议的内容通常都不只一个,因此可用in addition, besides, additionally, what’s more, furthermore, moreover来列举这些内容。如:
(1)We are supposed /required /expected to choose a healthy and environmentally-friendly way of traveling, that is, bicycle riding.
(2) It is suggested/advised that we choose a healthy and environmentally-friendly way of traveling, that is,bicycle riding.

It is (high) time that...
It is high time that we started / should start from ourselves and reduced / reduce transportation pressure by riding a bike.

Dear friends,
…
Thank you!
The Students’ union

In order to fulfill our obligation to protect the environment,we are supposed to follow the following ecological codes.
(1)It is suggested/advised that we stick to the habit of walking to school.
(2)We are required to eat at least five kinds of fruits and vegetables a day.
(3)It would be better if we recycle everything recyclable and cherish our school’s environment by picking up any litter and turning off the taps and the lights.
It is high time that we should contribute to the prosperity of our mother, the earth.

例如:My dearsister, Dear Jack等。
例如:Dear Dr Jim Green;Dear Prof Wang。
Good morning/evening/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen :
Today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.
First, i'd like to define the word“talent” in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 1英文发言稿书写格式范文 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say, they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ? because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more literated.more and more people go to university, more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return, talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games……
To sum up, talents will play a more and more impoetant role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all, thank you.

21 June 20XX
Dear Mary,
Thanks for your last letter. I'm so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I won't be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.
There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.
To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.
When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.
Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.
Cheers and looking forward to seeing you.
Yours sincerely,
Annie

20 June 20XX
Dear Sir,
I noticed an ad. In the paper today you said you were looking for people to join your expedition team. It sounded as if it might be fun so I'm writing to say I'd like to come along.
About myself: I left school at 16 because I wanted to earn a bit of money. After that I got a few part-time jobs as a waiter, etc. But I didn't stick to any of them for long. Recently I've been doing a bit of hitch-hiking round Europe so I've had some experience of traveling the hard way which should come in handy on the expedition you're planning. By the way, I'm a great guitarist so I can keep you all amused round the campfire at night.
Let me know when I can call in for a chat about dates and other details, etc.
Yours,
David Smith

12 May 20XX
Dear Sir,
I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years' basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the People's General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.
As a result of the publication in 20XX of my article in New Scientist entitled “Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ”, which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 20XXpatients.
Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.
I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.
Yours faithfully,
Lily Chen

Dear Sharon,
I am writing to tell you how very much I enjoyed the days at Chicago.
Everything was just about perfect. You certainly know how to make a guest feel at home. Your delicious meals were a treat, and your flexibility in adapting to my irregular schedules made many things possible.
I hope you and Peter know how I appreciate your hospitality, and your many kindnesses to me. I count myself fortunate indeed to have two such generous charming friends!
With thanks again and best wishes to you.
Yours
Alice II
Dear David,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your very active participation in our recent conference in Montreal on the “future of aviation”. The chairman and board members have also asked me to pass on their sincere appreciation for your efforts in supporting the institute in this important undertaking.
Your skill in chairing the controversial panel on “the role of developing countries in the future of aviation management” was highly appreciated by those representing all sides of that extremely sensitive topic. As well, we have received numerous post-conference requests for the paper you delivered on “the critical issue of cooperation between airlines and airports”. It appears that you my have penned a best-seller with that one!
On both a professional and a personal level, I really appreciated the time that the two of us were able to spend together for fun and reflection during conference down times. I certainly learned a lot about the unique aspects of aviation operation in your part of the world (not to mention the things you taught me about the backhand on the squash court!)
We are currently hard at work producing the “compendium of conference proceedings” document, and we expect to be sending it out to all participants early in the new year.
Again, thanks so much for your enthusiastic participation in our conference. I have no doubt that it would not have been the success that it was without your presence.
Please keep in touch ,and drop in and visit us whenever you are in this part of the world.
Very sincerely
I work hard and I can get along well with others. I am good at English and especially my spoken English is very good. I have translated many Chinese books into English. I can understand Japanese and I can talk to foreigners in Japanese freely.
If you agree with me, I will work hard and try to be a good translator.
If you agree with me, please write a letter to me or phone me. I live at No.1 Renmin Road, Suzhou city. My telephone number is 3654371.
Thank you very much.
