范文: The modern technology has greatly altered the mode of
communication among people. With the help of the Internet, people can easily contact each other anytime anywhere. However, the side effect is that many people have become over-dependent on the Internet and neglected face-to-face communication.
As far as I'm concerned, electronic communication cannot fully replace the direct contact among people. Although it seems to bring everyone together, it actually estranges people and decreases the effectiveness of communication. A typical example is that, traditionally, people working in the same office simply walk to others and talk. Today, however, co-workers tend to send e-mails or instant messages through the Internet even when they are sitting next to each other. As words can never convey the full message, it usually takes much more time and rounds of conversation than face-to-face communication, in which people can discuss more directly with less loss of information.
To conclude, the Internet enables more effective communication in some situations, but over-dependence on it actually pulls people apart.

The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the society. As a student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.
First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago. It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof. In the library, it is hard to find so much “old” information. Another advantage to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also, the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of delivery.
However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also, there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last, Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the Internet.Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

As been popular in young people's daily life, the social network service have influenced not only the ways we are socializing but also the culture and the tradition of the country.
Take the spring festival as an example, traditionally, in the evening of the Chinese New Year eve, the whole family usually would have a reunion meal. Many of the family members are not really be at home quite often spending time with others especially with their old parents, so this reunion meal is very important for every family to have a chance to talk, enjoy the together time. But today all has changed. The most common look of the reunion meal now is that all young people eat quietly meanwhile the eyes are staring at their cell phone, checking out their “Friend Circle” to see if anyone update the status. They only make sounds when someone grab a red envelop with very lousy money in it. The old parents feel awkward when facing this weird situation, no one would even like to talk to them, the reunion meal turns out that there is just a bunch of strange people eating at the same table.
And the TV shows are pushing this more far ahead. They will set some interactive sessions to encourage people use the social network service on their cell phone to get some bonus. So even TV time people still stick to their cell phone and have no word for others sitting around. Seems like the social network service is completely replace the normal communication offline. That will obviously ruin the relationship with family.
I wouldn't say the social network service is all bad, but somehow, I prefer to communicate face to face with someone I really care.
