一是现代人的成长环境，现在城市人的成长环境可以用幸福来形容，他们在幼年的黄金教育时期没有经过什么磨炼，再加之多半是独生子女，父母过度的溺爱使之缺少了最基本的锻炼与磨砺，有句话说得好：“只有经过最高温度淬炼的钢刀，才是钢中之钢，刀锋中的刀尖。”不经过风雨，怎可见彩虹。没有经过大风大浪，必会被小雨点打趴下。这就不难解释为什么如今那么多大学生在面临毕业找工作时会选择跳楼自杀。
二是现代社会环境，随着时代的发展，中国城市的发展速度越来越快，物价越来越高，导致医疗费用水涨船高，有些老辈人患病，尤其是绝症时，害怕拖累子女，往往会选择放弃治疗等死或自杀。但是聪明人会明白现在墓地的价格都比治疗疾病的价格高，好好治病才是给子女减少经济负担咧！
城市发展速度快带来的另一个影响是教育业的迅速崛起，教育质量好，人才就多，人才多自然就业压力就大，每一年的毕业季伴随着骊歌响起，一大波毕业生就会迅速朝各大公司逼近，毕业于著名院校且学历高的必定优先录取，毕业于二本院校甚至是三本院校而且仅仅是个小本科的这类人就是找破头恐怕也没有几个公司会录取、敢录取。于是一些毕业生在高层建筑的楼顶徘徊就见怪不怪了。
还有就是不得不谈的房价，在一线城市想买个房子，有些人得奋斗大半辈子，有些人就只能等下辈子了，没不起房子，无法给亲人舒适的生活环境，来自各方的压力使之只能早点结束这辈子，快点投胎奔向下辈子！
解决方法也很简单，大部分人会自杀表面看起来是因为社会环境，其实归根结底还是成长环境造成的心理承受能力差，只要在幼年时家长能赠予孩子一点，哪怕只是一点点挫折教育，这样的悲剧都不会发生。而剩下的小部分人，百分之八十是因为疾病，亲人一旦患上很难医治的绝症，要首先进行心理辅导，使其有着积极的心态，这样无论是对下一步的治疗还是预防自杀行为都有着极好的效果。
