这是含有特殊疑问词“What”的特殊疑问句。整句话的意思是“这个用英语怎么说？”。in English可作“在英语中”或“用英语”解。“in+某种语言”表示“用……语言说”的意思。例如

What’s that in French? 那个用法语怎么说？

Excuse me! What’s this in Chinese? 请问，这个用汉语怎么说？

What's this 与汉语的“这是什么”语序相反，要注意英语与汉语之间的这一区别。What's this?是What is this?的缩略式。回答What's this?时,this要换成it,可汉语仍译成“这”，It's ...是It is...的缩略式。

Lesson13

一、教学目的

1．本课继续复习数字（one－fifteen）．

2．四会掌握What’s this in English? It’s a clock/ pencil-box/ pencil/ sharpener/ an eraser.

3．三会掌握ruler

二、本课重点

掌握句型：What’s this in English？It’s…

四会单词：clock pencil pencil-box ruler eraser a pencil sharpener.

三、本课难点

1．box和clock中的［ks］和［kl］不要读成［kis］

2．注意强调单数可数名词单数前的冠词“a”不要丢掉。

3．强调“English”的“E”永远大写。

4．在认物问答中，答语用代词it，避免重复this／that。

四、学法引导

1．教师教法：出示实物或模型来教新单词。

2．学生学法：会拼读本课有关文具的词汇，可以看着自己文具盒里文具用句型What’s this in English? It’s a (an)…自己造句。碰到不会用英语说的新词，可以问英语老师，不仅能学到新词，又巩固了刚学的知识。

六、教学过程

Step l Revision（8 mins）

1．Free talk：让前后桌4人就各自的姓名、年龄、班级、座次等内容互相介绍与询问。

2．让两组学生上讲台化装表演第12课的对话。

3．教师挂出写有0－15数字的表格，用教鞭分别指着打乱顺序的0－15，要求全班快速读出。复习数字。

Step 2 Presentation （2 mins）

1．教师首先出示钟面模型自问自答：What’s this？It’s a clock．再说一遍并板书，并领读。（说明O读 cl读[kl] 并注意名词前有冠词“a”．

2．教师出示铅笔盒，用同样的方式教 pencil-box．并板书And what’s this？It’s a pencil-box．接着拿出一块橡皮擦。问学生：What’s this? It’s an eraser. “an”用红笔画出来，让学生注意用法。

Step 3 Drill （5 mins）

1．讲桌上摆着实物（格尺、铅笔刀、铅笔、铅笔盒、书）。让A上台就实物问教师，老师边答边板书。

1．打开书，同桌两人就part 2的图进行问答并交换角色。

2．连锁操练。让前一排学生转身与后一排学生两人为一组就图进行问答并交换角色。3．让两组学生用实物在台上进行问答表演。

Step 8 Consolidation （3 mins）

1．叫几组学生就讲桌上的实物用What’s this in English? And what’s…? It’s a…句型到前面问答并交换角色。

2．让同桌就已学的如何问候、答谢的词语，联系本课句型编一段完整的对话。并叫几组学生到前面来演练。

三、本课难点

用所学词汇和句型描述自己的房间。

四、学法引导

1．教师教法：出示实物或用微机做出英语课件。

2．学生学法：和同桌一起做个游戏。在纸上画画，让另一个同学用英语问：Is this a／an…？猜画的内容。猜对了，你就说：Yes，it is．猜错了，你就说No．it isn’t．再互扮角色，直到猜对为止。猜的时候注意正确的语音，语调。

Step 1 Revision （8 mins）

1．Duty report and have a free talk．（让同桌或前后桌，根据以前学的句型自由会话3分钟）

2．复习单词，表演13课对话。

Step 2 Presentation （10 mins）

1．教师指着教室的桌子问：What’s this in English？学生答：It’s a desk．指着学生书包问：What’s this in English? 让学生答：It’s a bag．接着指着班级的微机问：And what’s this in English? 帮助学生答：It’s a computer．学习单词computer。用同样的方法学习单词 mouse keyboard cup and map．

2．用微机做出动画，呈现My room画面，老师让学生看图问答：What’s this in English? 墙上的钟表闪烁两下．学生回答：It’s a clock．接着再闪。computer/map/desk/ mouse/ bag/ bed等词．让学生用同样的句型回答。

3．教师问：Is this a cup？让学生答Yes，it is．或No it isn’t．

Step 3 Drill（7 mins）

1．两人一组看图对My room画面对话。

反复练习这部分句型，达到脱口而出，熟记单词。

2．听录音，第一遍静听，第二遍学生跟读模仿语音语调。

Step 4 Practice（3 mins）

学生根据自己周围的物品进行问答，并到前面去对话表演。
