首先，小组合作有利于学生互教互学，彼此交流信息。这不仅给小组成员提供了大量的发言和思想交流的机会，更能帮助学生树立学习的自信心，激发学生参与写作的兴趣。
其次，小组合作学习中可以让学生充分发挥自身的优势，调动学生的学习主动性，培养学生的合作意识和竞争意识，这更是学生学习主体地位得以体现的重要途径。
二、小组合作学习在初中英语作文教学中的实施方式和步骤
小组合作写作教学的一般步骤可以分为七个方面：
1.小组内部讨论
