作文的写作强调的是内容连贯,句子通顺,语言流畅,并且句子与句子之间能够用恰当的关联词衔接起来,并不要求写出多复杂的句子。但有些考生理解为只有句子长了,所用的从句多了才更纯正,所以使用各种从句分词等,致使文章言不达意,错误百出,效果适得其反。

3.用好标点符号、大小写,安排好段落。

如果是汉语作文,多注意标点符号,但写英语时一些考生就不够认真。一篇文章下来一逗到底,没有标点的变化,没有大小写,没有段落划分(一般以两段为宜),让人一看就烦,更不要说得到好的分数。

4.用好情感词语。

一、扣题不紧

扣紧主题写作的关键即是审题。审题是应试写作关键性的第一个步骤,它决定着能否正确表达思想,即是否切题的问题。

写四级作文时,首先要做到切题。如果所写文章离题万里,即使表达再优美也不能得高分。要做到切题,审题是关键的一步。遗憾的是很多考生拿到试题后只是草草地看一眼就下笔,结果是事倍功半。

考生拿到作文题目之后,首先要仔细地分析题目的类型及其提供的线索,并以此为根据决定文章的主题,从哪些方面展开,用哪些方法展开,采取什么衔接手段,这些都是在下笔之前必须解决的问题。

二、表述不准

在英语作文中因词汇贫乏而引起的问题是多种多样的。它阻碍信息的传递,影响思想的表达,甚至引起误解,造成不良后果。要真正攻克这些难关,考生必须严格要求自己,做到精读、博览、多写、多练,在加强阅读和写作的基础上,不断地巩固和扩大词汇量,熟练地掌握英语写作中的常用词语及表达方式,弄清同义、近义词之间的差别,尽量缩小与教学大纲要求之问的距离,以切实提高英语书面表达思想的能力。

句子是表达一个完整意思的语言单位。成功的作品是由清晰而合乎语法规则的句子组成的。然而一个好的句子除了用词准确,无拼写错误和语法错误,能够准确表达作者的意思外,还必须具有结构严谨,通畅顺达、简洁生动,完整连贯等特点。

一、句子要简洁

英国文豪莎士比亚的名言“Brevity is the soul of wit.”相当于汉语的“言贵简洁”。写作要求精练,因为,简洁的表达能起到更加强调的作用。我们要写出效果好、表达通畅的文章,就要想方设法做到以下几点:

1.避免使用空洞、多余的短语;2.避免过多地使用较长的句子结构,如并列句和从属句等;3.避免不必要的重复。

二、句子要完整

句子的完整性包括两个方面,即意思的完整性和结构的完整性。

意思的完整性是指一个句子应该表达一个相对完整的思想。结构的完整性指的是句子在语法结构方面没有缺损。如:

1.It is incredible to many people.Cigarette smokers spendmoney for illness.原句中it的意思不明确。可用it作形式主语,使句子结构完整。

可改成:It is incredible to many people that cigarette srookersspend money for illness.为了使句子保持结构完整,还要注意避免融合句,所谓融合句。

就是两个或两个以上的句子之间没有适当的标点符号或连词而融合在一起。如:

一、注意审题

小作文的审题(即审读材料)很重要,决定着文章的成败。因为一个小作文的材料中,往往隐含了若干个写作要求,如不细心审读,抓不到这些隐含的.要求,就很容易出现错误。例如:

一个孩子乘母亲不在,将家里的小闹钟拆了,母亲见后……

要求;根据上面的材料,展开想象,如果你是母亲,如何处置这个事情。请写出一个200字左右的处置过程。

这个小作文便隐含四个要求:(1)〝母亲见后〞,时间上必须要从母亲看见闹钟被拆之后写起;(2)〝如果你是母亲〞,行文中写作者必须是小孩的 母亲,必须以小孩子母亲的身份出现,不能这样写:〝如果我是这位母亲,我会这样处置……〞;(3)〝200字左右〞,字数限定在200字左右;(4)〝处 置过程〞,内容只能写处置的过程,而不能写结果和其他。

二、注意语言的简洁

这一点体现在两方面。其一,小作文字数一般是100┄300字,受篇幅限制,语言要求简洁明了。其二,如果是写应用文,则语言也一定要简洁,因为语言简洁是应用文写作的最基本要求。

三、力求结构完整

小作文是片断性作文,而非篇章。虽如此,但不能一味忽略结构的完整性。一篇小作文如果能够做到结构完整,则效果会更好。例如:

在你的身边有许多可亲可爱的事物,请你任选其中一种,以《我眼里的___________》为题写一篇200字左右的短文。

四、注意表达方式的运用

Have you ever been at sea in a dense fog when it seemed as if a tangible white darkness shut you in, and the great ship, tense and anxious, groped her way toward the shore? I was like that ship before my education began, only I had no way of knowing how near the harbor was.

The most important day I remember in all my life is the one on which my teacher, Anne Mansfield Sullivan, came to me. I am filled with wonder when I consider the immeasurable contrast between the two lives which it connects. It was the third of March, 1887, three months before I was seven years old.

On the afternoon of that exciting day, I guessed vaguely from my mother’s signs and from the hurrying to and fro in the house that something unusual was about to happen, so I went to the door and waited on the steps.

I felt approaching footsteps. I thought it was my mother and stretched out my hand. Someone took it, and then I was caught up and held close in the arms of the person who had come to reveal all things to me, and, more important than that, to love me.

The morning after my teacher came she led me into her room and gave me a doll. When I had played with it a little while, Miss Sullivan slowly spelled into my hand the word “d-o-l-l”. I was at once interested in this finger play and tried to imitate it. When I finally succeeded in making the letters correctly I was filled with childish pleasure and pride. Running downstairs to my mother I held up my hand and made the letters for doll. I did not know that I was spelling a word or even that words existed; I simply made my fingers go in monkey-like imitation. In the days that followed I learned to spell in this uncomprehending way many words, among them, “pin”, “hat”, “cup”, and a few verbs like “sit”, “stand” and “walk”, but my teacher had been with me several weeks before I understood that everything has a name.

One day while I was playing with my new doll, Miss Sullivan gave me my old doll, too. She then spelled “d-o-l-l” and tried to make me understand that “d-o-l-l” applied to both. Suddenly I seemed to remember something I had forgotten — a thrill of returning thought – and the mystery of language was revealed to me. I knew then that the “w-a-t-e-r” meant that wonderful cool something that was flowing over my hand. That living word awakened my soul and set it free.

I left the well-house eager to learn. Everything had a name and each name gave birth to a new thought. As we returned to the house, every object which I touched seemed to be full of life. That was because I saw everything with a strange, new sight that had come to me. On entering the door I remembered the doll I had broken. I felt my way to the fragments and tried in vain to put them together. Then my eyes were filled with tears, for I realized what I had done, and for the first time I felt sorry.

I learned a lot of new words that day. It would have been difficult to find a happier child than me when I lay in my small bed that night and thought of the joys that day had brought to me, and for the first time I longed for a new day to come.

一、要善于模仿

一些同学的办法往往是背一堆范文,然后再到考场上进行一个“剪切”、“粘贴”的工作,真正的模仿重点永远要放在一定的句式结构上,而非个别的词汇。有一个句式说:“…for the simple reason that…”表示某种现象的原因是什么,用在高考(课程)写作中,我们就可以拿来解释为什么自行车在中国如此的流行:“The bicycle is very popular in China for the simple reason that…”。然而,很多同学一谈到原因仍然是“…because…”。如果要表示“总是能够”的概念,很多同学提笔就会写can always,但理想的`句子应该是用双重否定表示强烈的肯定,用never fail to。

很多考生在英文写作中只习惯使用一些很简单的单词,尽管他们知道有很多类似的短语,但就是懒得花时间去想。其实,这种做法是很划不来的,为了节约那一点点的`时间,写的都是些很简单、很基础的词汇,让人一看就没有水平。要想获得更高的分数,就需要变换使用短语,增加作文质量。

技巧3:多使用高级句型

英语写作时多采用一些高级词汇或者句型,可以使文章增添文采,给阅卷老师留下深刻的印象。有些考生因怕出错而只写短句或简单句,写出的文章过于幼稚、空洞乏味。要使文章有血有肉就要把平时学的知识用进去,如:定语从句、宾语从句、非谓语动词和比较等句型,关键时用上一、二个,就能使文章不同凡响,更有文采,特别是对关联词的使用,会使文章逻辑结构紧密、层次鲜明、条理清楚,更能显示出你的英文功底,但要做到这些并非一日之功,要靠平时的不断训练和积累。
